Learn about the latest feature releases and improvements in the Connecterra Platform and how to use them
Welcome back to Inside Connecterra in 2025! We’re excited to bring you up to speed with the latest features and improvements in the Connecterra Platform. From a new sharing feature to simplify collaboration with your team, to
The new sharing feature allows you to easily send a snapshot of a chart directly from your dashboard to your key contacts.
We know how valuable your advisors’ support is when making decisions for your farm. The chart sharing feature simplifies how you share farm data with veterinarians, nutritionists and other advisors.
Use the share icon above a chart to send it via email or copy the link to share via your preferred channel. Your contact can view the chart and stay aligned with trends and changes on your farm. Note that only farmers (farm owners or herd managers) can share charts, giving them full control over who can view their data.
We’ve added new metrics that show combined fat and protein (and individual components) in pounds or kg, alongside the percentages you already know.
Milk solids in pounds provide a clearer picture of each cow’s contribution to your milk check, especially for farmers paid based on fat and protein production. It’s also an excellent benchmarking tool—helping you better track, compare, and optimize your herd's performance.
Go to Analytics>Add chart and find the new metrics under Production. Save the charts to your preferred dashboard for easy access.
We have released the heat stress insights for 2024 to help you evaluate your farm’s performance over the past year.
While winter is still in full swing, it’s the perfect time to review how heat stress affected your cows last year and make adjustments where needed. The benchmarking insights allow you to analyze changes in DMI and milk components during high THI periods and see how your farm compares to others.
Open an insight from the Overview dashboard or the Insights page. If you're in the green zone—you're doing better than most! If not, now might be the time to consider improvements like cooling systems to boost your farm’s performance.
The Farm Briefing is now structured around actionable areas like DIM groups, pens, etc., and includes a short summary of each area. To surface the most relevant insights, we sort cows by lactation groups (0, 1 and 2+) instead of individual lactation numbers and only consider groups with a min. of 10 cows for farm, pen and DIM group insights.
These changes aim to make the briefing emails more digestible and help you get a quick overview of issues in key areas. Turn on your weekly Farm Briefings on the Copilot page or under Settings to receive weekly summaries.
